They Were There

These are Space Invaders spotted in Montmartre and Gare Du Nord, Paris. It's an arcade game designed by Tomohiro Nishikado in 1978. No body knew who drew this, it was just a random grafiti artist. It was meant to send a prank message to the public that the aliens were really there.

Holy Mother Of Crab

In response to Neil Hadlock's sculpture, this was what's in my mind between the boy and the crab. The mother of the crab got angry and chased the boy. The mother is 10 times the size of it's young which makes it more intimidating.

Neil Hadlock's Sculpture

This is a sculpture by Neil Hadlock's and it is situated at Marina Pier. It is a statue of a Europe family transit at Hull to America. It is made out of bronze. It is atop of block with description written on each side, 'Neil Hadlock's sculpture depicts a family from Northern Europe having left ship before continuing to Paragon Station then on by train to Liverpool then by ship to America, over 2, 200, 000 people passed through Hull and other Humber Ports to America between 1836 and 1914, statue donated 2001 to Kingston upon Hull by the Sea Trek Foundation of America as they retraced their descendants journey in Tall Ships from Northern Europe and This statue is located on the reclaimed land at 'The Bullnose' where ships waited for high tide before entering Humber Dock.' The craftsmanship of the sculpture is appealing and I really like the boy and the crab.

Hay's Galleria

This is The Navigator by David Kemp in 1987. Its a commemoration sculpture at Hay's Galleria to reflect the shipping heritage in the area. The sculpture evolves when coins are loaded heavily inside the mouth of the bird figure and triggers the machine. The materials used have that medieval effect which reminds me of Leonardo Davinci's works.

Theo Jansen: The Art Of Creating Creatures

This is a great invention by Theo Jansen, a new form of creature that are able to survive on their own on the shores. It is also a new type of transport made of electricity tube and it gets its energy from sustainable resources. It also has it's own brain using recycled bottles to detect moisture and obstacle opposing its path. The purpose of this invention is something to leave behind when mankind no longer walks the earth. This really shocked me because it is something I would do.

This is a set up of the Fruit Market during the early 20th century at the Streetlife Musuem. They used some of the original tools, equipments, clothings and transports. The people is made of wax and the fruit is made of plastic. I took my time there and it felt as if I was travelling back to the past.

T-bird

I designed this car using Doug Chiang's drawing techniques. Its a 21st century Thunderbird because the headlights has similar concept to the 20th century.

Fighter Ship

This is a spaceship also designed by Doug Chiang. Here I learned how to use perspective lines and play around with shapes. The laws of physics don't play an important role when creating great fictional designs.

R-robot

This is a concept art of a robot originally designed by Doug Chiang. I drew this by following his rendering techniques using marker pens and watercolor. It thought me how to convert organic form to mechanical form.
